March: Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival and Ken Thomasma

This month we celebrate the Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival, which begins Wednesday, March 9th. Over the course of four days, the Festival features poetry and prose readings, as well as other literary events, in a variety of Pocatello venues. The Festival not only celebrates the work of talented local writers, but also hosts Karen Joy Fowleras this year's Visiting Writer.
Karen Joy Fowler is the author of the best-selling Jane Austen Book Club, as well as novels such as Sarah Canary and The Sweetheart Season. A complete schedule of events is listed below, or visit www.rockymountainwriters.com for more information.

This month also features the Bellon Visiting Author Series, which hosts children's book author Ken Thomasma from March 7th-9th. We hope to see you at one or more of these great literary events!

Thomasma, who lives in Kelly, Wyo., has written a series of popular children's books highlighting the lives of Native American Indian children from different tribes. Thomasma has won the State of Wyoming Children's Book Award three times. Four times his books have been nominated for the Colorado Children's Book Award.
