Rocky Mountain Writers Festival

Greetings, Pocatello!

This month we celebrate the Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival. The Festival opens on Wednesday, March 10th, at the Portneuf Brewing Company. Over the course of four days, in various Pocatello locations, the Festival features poetry and prose readings, along with other literary events. The Festival not only celebrates the work of talented local writers, but also hosts Janet Holmes, this year's Visiting Writer. Janet Holmes is a poet, Professor at Boise State University, and director of Ahsahta Press.

The Rocky Mountain Writers' Festival is now a group on facebook, as well. Be sure to join the group to receive festival-related invites and updates throughout the year.

While the Festival ends Saturday, March 13th, the literary events continue. Check out the Open Mic at the end of the month for another great way to interact with our writing community. And let us know if you hear of any other events, so we can help get the word out.
