As part of the 2007 Reading Project at Idaho State University, authors John de Graaf and David Wann will speak about their book Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic (Berrett-Koehler Publishers, 2002). Book signing and reception will follow. Film documentary to proceed the keynote.

Writing Group: The Literary Association – Ongoing (Every Friday)

The Literary Association (Idaho State University's undergrad English club) has organized a creative writing group that meets at the 5th Street Bagelry every Friday at 9:00am.

You do not need to be a student or a member of the literary association to participate, and you do not need to come every time. The creative writing group is for anyone who enjoys writing poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, OR for anyone who thinks they would enjoy reading other participants' writing. The group occasionally does some writing exercises, but the bulk of the hour is devoted to discussing the work of those who would like to share their writing and receive feedback. It's fun and laid back!
